Hello everyone,
I've been closely examining the current highscore rankings and noticed some potential imbalances in the distribution of player classes. Here are the counts of players by class and subclass on the first page of the highscore: Mage Pyromancer: 16 Warlock: 7 Shaman: 2 Warrior Barbarian: 15 Paladin: 7 Ranger Rogue: 3 Marksman: 1 As shown, the number of Shamans, Marksmen, and Rogues is significantly lower compared to other classes. This discrepancy could be due to various factors such as experience gained per hour or the overall usefulness of these classes in parties. I'd like to open a discussion on how we can address this imbalance. It seems that Pyromancers and Barbarians are currently the most dominant and popular classes. Can we explore potential reasons behind this? Is it related to their skill sets, abilities, or perhaps something else? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions on how we can achieve a better balance across all classes. Best regards, Africano |

I checked the highscore, and there are some incorrect numbers, but anyway, my final opinion remains the same:
Paladin: 6 Barbarian: 18 Rogue: 3 Marksman: 1 Shaman: 2 Pyromancer: 14 Warlock: 6 If we look closely, the subclasses with the most players are the ones that achieve the best solo exp within each class. The same thing happened eight years ago, except back then, the overwhelming majority were Paladins. In any case, my opinion is that there is a lack of large hunts for parties. And the main issue, in my view, is the lack of incentive for group hunting. A Paladin in a party, instead of increasing the players' exp, actually causes the party's exp to drop. I believe there should be a better bonus for this. Another point: Marksman urgently needs a buff. Regarding the Shaman, they could slightly increase the attack area of Mortal Melody and slightly boost its damage. Another idea would be to nerf the defense of Mages and Barbarians while increasing their damage in return, but that would cause a lot of dissatisfaction. So, increasing the party bonus based on each class or subclass would attract these more individualistic subclasses to hunt in parties, while players who enjoy playing solo would remain the same but earn less exp than a player of the same subclass who hunts in a party. |
