This post caught my attention, the wizard's gameplay is really horrible and I think it should improve, in terms of hunting the wizard only uses 1 spell from his subclass, while the pyromancer uses 3 spells from his subclass, my suggestion is to do the cross as a single target, without damage rules, and a new spell for wizards is intermittent, because as I said we only use the cross, the tornado and for all subclasses so there is a lack of area magic for wizards... currently it is the only class that has a magical area.
Another point of your argument above, I agree, you really don't have anyone playing as a wizard today, for the simple fact that the pyromancer is very easy to manipulate when playing with macros.
